Making Your Office Merry & Bright for the Holidays

So here’s the thing, unless you’re the kind of person who puts their tree up the second November 1st hits (no judgment here), you may not prioritize decorating your home, let alone your office, with holiday cheer. Fear not! If you aren’t one of those people who have a deep abiding love for wreaths, tinsel, and DIY-everything, we found some fun and easy ways to add some festive flair to your office space without wasting your time or your money.

  • Flatlay christmas trees

    • No space? No problem. For those offices lacking the room for a tree, try decorating with deconstructed branches to hang on your wall. They’re as cute as they are convenient.

  • Letterboard

    • Letterboards. Use ‘em for inspiration, use ‘em for sass. The ideas are endless. And lucky for you, Amazon has an unlimited supply!

  • Participate in an ugly sweater day

    • Okay, so technically this isn’t a decoration, but how can you really get in the holiday spirit without a good ol’ fashioned ugly sweater? Be sure to encourage (ahem, force) your coworkers to come decked out in their best holiday attire — and bonus points — you’ll have a cute pic for the ‘gram.
  • Garland

    • Paper, pom poms — you name it. If your walls or your furniture need a little love, there’s nothing a little garland can’t fix. Spruce up your space with this easy DIY.

At SD, we’re no social media scrooges. Regardless of when you choose to finally cave and spread a little holiday cheer, it’s always fun to get into the spirit with some DIY crafting and holiday fun. So grab some eggnog, blast some Mariah Carey (but don’t try to hit the high notes) and get to DIY work! And of course, celebrate with some Christmas cookies afterward.
