Welcome Social Distillery’s New Strategic Account Coordinator: Robynne Trifiletti
It’s been a while since our last blog post, but we’re back and ready to share some exciting news! Last week we welcomed a brand new member to our team. Robynne has already brought a bright and cheerful energy to our office, and we can’t wait to see what she accomplishes in the coming months!
Where did you grow up?
My dad was in the Air Force so I grew up a little bit of everywhere – Florida, Hawaii, Oklahoma, Maryland and Texas. But the bulk of my “growing up” happened in San Antonio, so I claim SA as my hometown. #GoSpursGo
What did you do in school?
I have two degrees. The first was from Texas Tech (guns up!) where I studied Communication Studies with an emphasis in Marketing. Six years later (and just as I paid off my first round of student loans) I decided to go back to school again, this time for Graphic Design at the Art Institute of San Diego.
What work have you done before joining SD?
The real question is what haven’t I done before joining Social Distillery! My first job out of college was as a morning radio show host. After 3 years of waking up at 3am for work everyday I decided I needed a change…marketing! I worked for Free People, the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation and American Cancer Society on various creative marketing projects before deciding to go to design school. After graduation I landed my first agency gig, which brought me back to Texas from California. And now, two years later, here I am with SD!
What drew you to the social media industry?
Social media is the future of marketing. I’m fascinated by this cultural phenomenon and am excited about learning the ins and outs of it to better help clients.
What are your favorite brands to follow?
I don’t really follow any BIG brands like Coke or McDonalds. My social media platform of choice is Instagram. I like to use it as an inspirational feed, so I tend to follow artists and entrepreneurs that I admire. Some of my favorites are Anna Bond (Rifle Paper Co) and Ashley Rose (Sugar and Cloth).
What hobbies do you have?
I have many so I’ll bullet point them to make it easy:
- Running and yoga
- Getting crafty – I love a good DIY!
- Trying new restaurants
- Getting outside with my dog, Rosie
- Planning events for the Austin CreativeMornings chapter
- (and as 90’s as this sounds) talking on the phone with my girlfriends
