It’s the dog days of summer and there’s no relief in sight with the 100+ degree weather here in Austin, but we haven’t let that stop us! From growing our agency team and client roster, to sharing our best practices and insights at several local industry events, we’ve been quite busy the past few months. We hosted our annual company retreat where we talked shop, discussed new ways to help our clients achieve their digital program goals, and took a step back to reflect upon the successes we’ve experienced thus far in 2016. We've also managed to squeeze in the occasional ice cream/margarita break (we have to stay cool somehow)!
As the commander in chief of Social Distillery, I’m always in awe of the talented team we continue to grow and the pride they all take in delivering exceptional work to clients, day in and day out. To that end, we welcomed Robynne Trifiletti to the team as Strategic Account Coordinator earlier this year and continued our summer internship program with the addition of two new faces.
We’ve also expanded our client base to add two new clients to the mix - Twisted X Brewery and Chuy’s. We’re thrilled to be working with both brands as they’re allowing us to truly be an extension of their social marketing teams by providing overall and campaign-specific strategy, managing social ad programs and developing content across channels. Check out this recent piece of “snackable” video content we dreamed up for Chuy’s:

You might have also seen us out and about around town lately. Earlier this month, Robynne served on a panel about Marketing for Startups at the Global Roundup conference hosted by 3 Day Startup. In June, we hosted the Social Media edition of latest Creatives Meet Business event where myself, Ryan and Hailey served on various panels discussing today’s most pressing social media challenges. An upcoming podcast will share the best content and tips curated from the live event.
While this summer has been busy to say the least, we never lose sight of the most innovative technology solutions, as these tools are required to follow through on our commitment to help clients achieve a strategic advantage. We are excited to continue our relationship with technology partner, Spredfast, for the fifth year. In addition to licensing Conversations for social media management, we've added Experiences to our software stack. We also partner with Brandwatch, Centro and People Pattern to continue to provide cutting edge marketing capabilities.
As we head into the back half of the year, we’re excited to see how social evolves in its ability to help brands better reach and engage their community in ways never thought possible before. We take pride in the fact that we have our finger on the pulse of this ever-changing industry; you can check out some of our recent blog posts about the latest social news: Facebook Live, Twitter Stickers and YouTube Director’s App.
